Welcome to this mansion of the late 18th century. Near the touristic tour of the Loire on Bycicle ("Loire à Vélo") program - 2,5 km, its garden of old roses, its vegetable garden and its antique decoration will delight you. Come find old treasures from our grandparents in our barn, converted into a mini flea market. A starting point to discovering the sweetness of Anjou, the edges of the Loire river and hiking around the Layon, a small territory famous for its wine, its hilly landscape and rich heritage. Reconnect with your senses and the authentic pleasures of the countryside!
The advantage of growing older is to know oneself better, to know what one wants or not and to assert oneself in one's desires and to want to transmit them. I like diversity, human contact, working with my hands and the aestheticism of beautiful things in which harmony transpires. France is very rich in heritage at all levels and I missed this country after spending 15 years abroad and working 20 years in the digital industry. I learned a lot there: intercultural relations, English, project management, the business world... But I missed the link with nature, following the seasons, respecting the environment and giving a second life to old objects. So for my personal balance, 5 years ago, I chose to come back to more authentic notions, to a need to express myself with my hands and a desire to share the old French heritage with the opening of a guest house, filled with antique objects... So welcome to Anjou to come and enjoy a moment of pause and sharing in these places, I will be happy to welcome you. Laure Graydon
The lodge is located in Anjou, in the department of Maine-et-Loire - 1 hour drive from the famous amusement park Le Puy du Fou - 10 minutes drive from the Chateau de la Loire "Serrant - 3 km from the kangaroo park where you can pet the wallabis - 2,5 km from the banks of the Loire, for boat trips and hikes to discover the inhabited islands of Béhuard and Chalonnes - 5 km from the vineyards and famous appellations such as "Savennières", "Coteaux du Layon" "Chaume"... - Many varied activities are at hand to relax in the Anjou region
