Alet Les Bains has an abundance of local spring water which feeds the village and the community swimming pool. Originally established around a bottling plant the village is host to over 400 people for much of the year. Situated behind the Marie (Mayors chambers) this wonderful property built originally by the Chef to Tsar Nicholas the first sits inside its own walled garden. As the story goes. He built this property for himself and during the second world war was forced to evacuate in fear of his life, assisted by the villagers in gratitude he left the beautiful house adjoining the property to the village. Bought by its current owners in 2017 the property has been extensively renovated with a new 2 bedroom gite and pool installed. Secure inside a walled garden the property provides a safe haven for families or couples in a quiet private environment in privacy of their own accommodation at the base of the property. Adjoining the property the village playing field through a gate in the wall is loads of space for children to run and escape in Alet's warm summer climate.
