The gite is at the back of the main house, which is next to the river tardoire, we are in the countryside but only 1 kmt from bars/restraunts/supermarkets/bank and shops in Montbron. There are bikes, canoes, fishing equipment and games available free for guests use. Should you want to come in the colder months, heating is with a wood burning stove, wood is provided.
La Rochefoucauld is only 9 kmts away with an amazing chateaux, Saint Esteph with it's large lake and beach is 16 kmts away, lomoges famouse for it's pottery is 70 kmts away, there is also a golf course only 5 kmts away, a box full of all the local attractions is in the gite and I am always happy to answer any of your questions.
