Normandy Inn at Le Val Borel is a small four bedroomed guest house or 'Chambres d'hôtes' in rural Normandy within an hours' travelling distance of major tourist attractions such as the Bayeaux Tapestry, D Day landing beaches and Mont St Michel. The ferry ports of Ouistreham (Caen) and Cherbourg are within easy travelling distance. The guest house is set in seven acres of woodland with three natural ponds, remains of old stone buildings and a network of woodland paths. Guests have full access to a communal dining room, sitting room and small sitting area on the first floor. There is a small guest kitchen with cooker, microwave, fridge for guests use. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the kitchen for guests use. A continental breakfast is served in the guest dining room at time of your choosing. We have a number of friendly animals who enjoy meeting our guests including three donkeys, a goat and some ducks!
Frederic and Valerie relocated from Nantes in 2025. After long careers working in 'people professions' they enjoy meeting and getting to know guests from all over the world. A warm welcome is assured and we will do our best to help with any questions about the local area.
Normandy Inn at Le Val Borel is a 15 minute drive from junction 39 of the A84. It is a rural area but with many pretty villages and towns, local markets and is within an hour of major tourist attractions such as Mont St Michel, Bayeaux Tapestry and the D Day landing beaches. The Normandy coast line is beautiful in all seasons and Granville is a busy and bustling and seaside town in the summer months.
