“We had the suite with two bedrooms, each bed large enough to sleep two. We also enjoyed breakfast in the morning with fresh baguette and croissants. Loved a cup of tea in the morning! Parking is right in front of the BnB, no problem whatsoever....”

We are an English couple settled in Brittany since 2005, together we operate our chambres d'hôtes Numéro 1 in the centre of Chateaulin. We have always loved France and are very passionate about all things French. We have been coming to this area since 35 years ago and were lucky enough to make the move from the UK to France 20 years ago. Please feel free to read our reviews on bookingdotcom. We love it here and Chateaulin is a great little market town situated on the canal Nantes - Brest and close to magnificent, clean, unspoilt beaches.

Numéro 1 chambres d'hôtes is a large property just 5 metres from the Nantes Brest canal conveniently located in the centre of a pretty market town Chateaulin. Numéro 1 has the following bedrooms available, 1st floor, Bridge suite which has 2 x large double bedrooms and an en suite private bathroom, max occupancy 4. Views of river. 2nd floor, Garden suite which has 1 x double bedroom and a twin bedroom ( 2 x single beds ) and an en suite private bathroom, max occupancy 4. Views of garden & river. 2nd floor, River suite 1 which has 1 x double bed and a 1 x single bed in the same bedroom and an en suite private bathroom, max occupancy 3. Views of river. 2nd floor, River suite 2 which is a twin room ( 2 x single beds ) with large en suite private bathroom, max occupancy 2. Views of river. We have a spacious breakfast room on the ground floor and a private garden if you wish to eat outside or relax in. There is ample free parking in front of the property. Wifi is provided free of charge throughout the house. There are various bars and restaurants , shops, pharmacies, boulangeries, supermarchés and a tourist information centre all conveniently situated within minutes of the house.

Neighbourhood information

Numéro 1 is situated on la place de la résistance in Chateaulin and just 5 metres from the river Aulne which is the start ( or the finish ! ) of the Nantes - Brest canal. Needless to say we can cater for cyclists and offer secure bike storage. Restaurants and bars, shops etc are within a 2 minute walking distance from the chambres d'hôtes. Chateaulin is a busy market town and a market is held every Thursday in front of the house, ideal and creates a lovely ambiance. Bike hire and kayaking is available nearby.
