21min walking distance from the Train Station. A 100-year-old house, non-standard, not hotel quality, curly stairs, stone walls, rough edges. Simply charming. You will love it or hate it. Flexible check-in with smartlock!
I work fully remotely and this is my secondary house. It means sometimes you will share it with me (there are two bedrooms) or with other travellers. Maximum 3 people at once. As I am allowing pets, if you stay with other guests, you may expect dogs or cats, though rarely. I don't have animals myself. Please check before if you are allergic.
Belle de Mai, in the near proximity of the train station, is nowadays a more and more artistic district full of graffitti, but still with flavours of Tunisian and Algerian culture with backgammon cafes and mosques round the corner. It is a so called "popular" neighbourhood, meaning not poshy, but belonging to a working class. It is poor, so artists dwell here due to available prices. The highlight is the cultural center La Friche in the ex-tobacco factory. Full of social initiatives.
