The 'Wine House in Sancerre" is a spacious one bedroom apartment (2 floors) with eat-in kitchen, dining room, living room, office/sitting room, large bathroom and comfortable bedroom. Enjoy coffee in the exterior courtyard, The Wine House is a love letter to Sancerre's lovely wine. Discover Sancerre and the Centre-Loire wine region through the maps that adorn decorate the brightly lit home. Located at the edge of Sancerre's historic centre, the Wine House is very near the free parking at Remparts, making it easy to transfer your luggage. Restaurants and shops are a short walk away along our historic streets. The language school is just up the street!
I love to help others discover Sancerre and its beautiful wine. I've decorated the Wine House with maps of the region and books about Sancerre and wine in general. I also offer private wine classes and tours (I hold a diploma in wine DipWSET). My French co-host Clarisse also operates the best little bar in town - L'Autre, located on the town square.
The Wine House is on the edge of Sancerre, conveniently near the free Remparts des Dames parking - yet only a short walk from the historic center (which is closed to cars on the weekend). It is also an active winemaking neighborhood - Domaine Vacheron is just up the street. Beautiful sunsets can be seen at Remparts des Dames and hiking/bike trails such as Chemin de Pignol begin just a few meters from the Wine House.
