Right in the medieval village of Villeneuve les Avignon 350 SqM spacious living spaces, 5 ensuite bedrooms . Superb view on 14th century Fortress, large garden and heated infinity swimming pool (operational May to end September) surrounded by 14th century walls of the former monastery. 1 minute walk to innumerable restaurants, bistrots monuments and shops of all kind. The village lives throughout the year holding festivals, celebrations and activities. Thursday morning renowned farmers market and Saturday morning flea market.
This home has been in our family since last century and we will be more than happy to suggest things to do and places to go! From fine dining, wine tasting, kayaking, fishing, biking and spelunking we have nearly done it all!!
Villeneuve les Avignons was the home of Cardinals when the Pope's lived in Avignon. The house is part of the exterior walls of one of the best preserved Chartreuse Monastery in the world - (artists live there now). The moment you walk out of the house you will be taken back hundreds of years but with all the modern choices of restaurants, specialty shops, hair dressers, cheese shops and of course boulangeries. The Village is centrally located to all the must see destinations in the region including famous vineyards.
