Two minutes from the town centre of Aubigny-sur-Nere. The hosts, Michel and Susan Bonnefis, who live on the premises, speak French and English. Villa Capucine is a private residence with two separate apartments, a shared guest entrance door, and stairs. Access is by internal stairs only. It is not suitable for elderly, handicapped, or children under 5 years. It is a non-smoking property. Villa Capucine is their private residence, They speak English and French and are available to answer any questions and provide information on all the attractions of Aubigny-sur-Nere and its surroundings.
Aubigny-sur-Nere is an historic town with a Scottish character, celebrated by the Franco-Scottish Festival in mid-July. Aubigny's exceptional architectural heritage exemplifies half-timbered houses from the 1500s. There are excellent boutiques, restaurants, cafes, and a Scottish pub on the main street of Aubigny-sur-Nere and a great grower's market every Saturday morning. In the vicinity: • Chateau of the Stuarts in town and the Chateau de la Verriere; • Etang du Puits, a large lake with swimming, aqua sports, and beach picnics only 10 km away; • Vineyards of Sancerre and Menetou-Salon are nearby; • Hunting and fishing seasons in the surrounding forests and lakes of Sologne.
