HI, I’M ALASTAIR. My wife, Sue, and I bought Villa Oleander in Mougins with Paul and his wife, Leony, in 2007. I have known Paul since I was 4 years old, and together we manage all the issues involved in renting our villa out to others. We wanted to find a location and villa that we would never tire of revisiting. That location had to be the South of France because of its year round appeal - there is so much more to do than just sunbathe. We chose Mougins as it has the perfect location on the Riviera - centrally placed for Monaco, Cannes, St Tropez and everywhere in between. Surrounded by the 427 hectare Parc de La Valmasque and Lake Fontmerle, Mougins has a semi rural feel, yet is only 20 minutes from Nice International Airport. Mougins is a picture perfect medieval village famed for its excellent restaurants and art galleries. Not to mention the golf courses! Equally, Villa Oleander has the perfect position in Mougins. It is within easy walking distance of the Old Village yet perched up to have an exceptional view over the village with the Mediterranean Sea in the background and the Esterel mountains to the west. All the main rooms open to this south facing view, and there is nothing quite like watching the sun going down and the village light up at night whilst drinking a glass of wine on the balcony. Mougins’ winding, pedestrian streets are extremely well preserved and retain the same peaceful charm that drew Pablo Picasso to choose Mougins as the place to spend his last 12 years. His studio was in the Old Village. Other famous residents included Fernand Léger, Jean Cocteau, Yves Saint Laurent, and Edith Piaf. Alain Ducasse and Roger Vergé have owned restaurants in the village and now, the famous chef Denis Fetisson, owns two of our many wonderful restaurants. Each year Mougins hosts the International Gastronomy Festival of Mougins and is also fortunate to have the excellent Musée de la Photographie and Femmes Artistes du Musée.

VILLA OLEANDER is a luxury, air conditioned villa with 3 bedrooms (all with en suite bathrooms) in Mougins, sleeping 6. Two of the bedrooms are upstairs and one downstairs. The open plan kitchen, living room and dining room make for a wonderfully convivial vacation space for a family or group of friends. Set within a mature, south-facing, Mediterranean garden with breathtaking views over the Old Village (15-20 min walk), the Bay of Cannes and the Esterel Mountains. This wonderful view has defined the standard for which we have tried to follow in all that we have done at the villa. Just 6km from Cannes and the Mediterranean Sea. The terraced gardens are beautifully landscaped and secluded with high hedges and include a private, heated swimming pool, pool house, table tennis and full sized boules court. We also have a well equipped games room. The villa has private parking for 3 cars and is secured by remote controlled electric gates. Children are very welcome at Villa Oleander and we have plastic boules for the boules court and plenty of inflatables for the heated pool. We accept well behaved pets with prior approval. We pride ourselves on excellent communication and service, and exceeding expectations. We are very proud of our villa and love to stay there with our friends and families, but take pleasure from the fact that when we can’t be there, others are enjoying it too. We have been receiving guests at Villa Oleander since 2008, and if ever a guest has made a suggestion of something they have been short of, then we now provide it. _____😌_____FOR YOUR PEACE OF MIND: When booking, you will receive a personal service dealing only with the owners. When at Villa Oleander you will be looked after by our trusted team. Our house-manager is just a phone call away throughout your stay. She is an absolute star! There are no extra costs (other than an optional cost of a hundred euros per week for pool heating).

We have - a very well equipped kitchen for food lovers - laundry room with washer/drier and iron/ironing board - Weber barbecues - charcoal & gas - outdoor heater - high chair & cot available - extra bed for small children - international electrical adapters - multi charger cables.
