Hi, we are Ashley & Alan and we bought 17 Burgate back in 2018 as a joint venture. Our mission was to restore 17 burgate to what it was know as Burgate House. We saw that if love was put back into the building, it would shine. And shine it has by how much our guests love coming here. We love living in this beautiful area of North Yorkshire. Perfectly equidistant and access to so many visitor sites. Pickering is a lovely Market town with good independent shops,eateries and a great community spirit

Property information

Situated between the Market Place and the Castle 17 Burgate has private parking and a secluded garden. The best standards in customer service and care meet modern facilities and traditional standards. Restful luxury for the weary traveller

Neighbourhood information

Pickering is an ancient Market town and the home of the North Yorks Moors Railway with steam trains onto the Moors and on to. Whitby. The town has a excellent folk museum(Beck Isle) and amazing medieval wall paintings in the parish church(St Peter and St Paul) With independent shops and businesses there is very little you can't get and there is a standing flea market and an antiques centre. Pickering is well based with places to get a drink and a bite to eat. Lots of cafes, pubs, restaurants, hotels to choose from and a bistro. The town is a wonderful base to explore the whole area and very handy for both Flamingoland and Castle Howard
