Enjoy a stylish 'boutique' experience at this recently refurbished 3-storey Georgian townhouse. Centrally-located in a prime position on the mile long High Street of this pretty market town, which dates back to medieval times. There are several independent gastro pubs & restaurants located on the door-step, as well as cafes & shops. The emphasis at this property is on cosy, comfortable luxury !! It is uniquely decorated to a high standard throughout, with many unusual items of furniture & design. Expect many natural materials: leather, cowhide, sheepskin, sisal, marble etc to enhance the earthy colour tones. The property still contains many original period features, so expect things to be a bit quirky & 'wonky' as it is over 200 years old !! There are stone & wooden floors, exposed beams, low ceilings, steep stairs, an open fire (logs provided) steep stairs, be careful !! Modern conveniences have been added, like a smart TV with Netflix & high speed fibre broadband/Wifi. There is a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, oven & gas hob, microwave, toaster & dishwasher. Guests are also provided with complimentary tea & coffee facilities. There is a small laundry room with washing machine, drying rack, iron & ironing board. The bathroom has a bath & shower, with towels provided. Two generous double bedrooms, beds piled with good quality linens, extra pillows, throws & blankets. Plus necessary wardrobes & dressing tables. Expect to see extra decorative items throughout. There's a small cottage garden at the rear with patio furniture to enjoy any good weather. But the best thing about this property is it's prime position on the High Street, the perfect place to 'people watch' you wont be able to help sitting in the window watching the world go by !! A visitor's parking permit is provided for one vehicle to park outside the property (on the street). There is also unrestricted parking at the rear, as well as 2 town carparks (approx 400m).
I’m an experienced Airbnb Super-host, with a passion for interior design. I aim to create a unique ‘boutique’ style environment for guests, with the emphasis on cosy, comfortable luxury. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have: if you need any information about the area or any special requests etc etc ....please get in touch. I will be available 24 hours, 7 days per week. On arrival I will provide my telephone number as another means of communication.
Henley-in-Arden is situated between Birmingham & Straford-upon-Avon, just north of the Cotswolds. The listed mile long High Street contains historic buildings from Medieval, Tudor, Georgian & Victorian Eras. There is an excellent selection of numerous independent bars, restaurants and cafes. (I counted 5 pubs, 4 independent restaurants, 3 Indians, 2 Chinese, a pizza parlour, 4 cafes & a sandwich shop.....& a fish & chip shop !!) … most also do a takeaway service. Both Cafe 86b & Henley Bakery serve breakfast & they are a few doors away. There are two small supermarkets, a bakery, deli & butchers for those wishing to self cater. Henley has a Summer Music Festival, regular Morris Dancers & an annual Tractor Run (with over 100 participants) Henley's own Heritage Centre is of special interest if you wish to find out more about the town's long history. Henley train station provides quick access to Birmingham city centre (30 min) & Stratford-upon-Avon (15 min) & is less than a 5 minute walk from the property. There is also a local bus service (X20) from B'ham to Stratford M40/M42 connection is 3 miles north. The National Exhibition Centre (NEC) & neighbouring Birmingham Airport & National Motorcycle museum - are 15 minutes drive away. Birmingham - 15 miles (National Sea life Centre, Museum & Art Gallery, Library, Symphony Hall, Bullring Shopping Centre, Hippodrome & Alexander Theatres, Jewellery Quarter, Villa Park, Utilita Arena) Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare is just 8 miles away (12 mins drive). It’s home to the internationally renowned Royal Shakespeare Company. You can discover many historical Shakespearian buildings, plus River Avon boat rides, the Butterfly Farm & Racecourse. For those feeling fit, you could also walk to Stratford along the canal footpath, accessible from just outside of Henley. Warwick- 9 miles `(Warwick Castle, Racecourse) & neighbouring Royal Leamington Spa, known for its Regency architecture & Royal pump rooms.
