Perfectly suited our need for a quiet place to sleep after long haul flights with walking distance to kew and chiswick gardens. We slept well overnight, not hearing plane noise that is more in the day. We slept in a lovely eclectic library with...

A fascinating host who looked after us brilliantly. Breakfast, choice of cereals, toast with loads different jams, honey. Juice, tea/coffee. Situated on bank of Thames, with various rowing crews training in the water giving lots to watch.

Our hosts were wonderful. Could have spent a week in their company. The breakfast was copious and included in the price. The accomodation was right on the Thames Pathway. The nights were peaceful.

We live on the banks of the Thames River. The River Room has views of the river and our garden. The river is tidal so it changes every six hours. It is a 7 meter tide. We are sixth house along on right when you are finding it. We are in the green part of Chiswick yet near buses, train and 3 underground stations (Gunnersbury, Chiswick Park and Turnham Green. It is easy to get to the centre of London. There are also many interesting sites nearby such as Chiswick House, Hogarth's House, Ham Houise, Syon Park, Kew Gardens, Richmond Park. Richmond Theatre, Orange Tree Theatre, Lyric Theatre Hammersmith.
My husband Chris and I are writers, amateur dramatic actors, we are learning the tango, we go to the theatre a lot. I ride in Richmond park. We sail and ski - though haven't recently We love people and very much enjoy breakfast conversations.
Chiswick is an unusual place. We live on the riverside in the country part - and fifteen mins walk is Chiswick High Road which is the swinging young part of Chiswick with cafes and restaurants galore. We are very useful for weekend visits and for week time short business visits.
