End of the world small house on a cliff. Beautiful view and a small hidden beach at the botten. Brilliant. Very clean and well maintained. Good internet. Only the water pressure was a bit low. Will definitely book again if there is a place.

Beautiful views and in a stunning location, 8b Calbost was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfy, the kitchen had all of the utensils that you’d hope for, and the log fire (complete with fire starters, kindling and logs)...

It's a fantastic little cottage with everything you need and more. It's very nicely decorated and had nice little extras (e.g. XL towels, extra blankets). The welcome pack was much appreciated. The host stays at the end of the road should you need...

8B Calbost is a small 3 star cottage situated on a village hill facing South on a natural bay with magnificent views from both bedrooms of hills, loch and sea where you can enjoy a brisk walk through the croft and down to the Calbost shore. This 2 bedroom cottage can accommodate up to 4 guests and comprises of a living/dining room, Kitchenette, shower room, double bedroom and a smaller bedroom with bunk beds. The cottage is fresh and clean with full central heating throughout making it warm, cosy and an ideal retreat. The cottage is surrounded by many brown trout lochs in the area and superb sea fishing from the rocks. It is a walkers paradise and there is animal life around every corner from the sheep next door to the basking sharks out at sea and the family of otters if you are lucky enough to spot them. Check out our website :- hebrideanholidayhomes We have just upgraded to Starlink wifi with a very fast speed, however due to the geography, there is little mobile signal except for BT/EE (watts app etc voice calls possible through the wifi ), so if you really need high comms and are not on BT/EE, this may not be the place for you. If however you require nature, peace, windy roads, friendly villagers, this is the place for you. We get fantastic reviews from those that love the scenery, nature and location. Our poorest reviews generally come for remoteness and lack of shops, so if that is what you want do not come to Calbost. Our Island is a paradise for those that love this type of holiday.
Living on the Isle Of Lewis says it all, we enjoy peace, nature and living in a unique cultural community surrounded by lots of fresh air and open spaces. Native Gaelic speaker. I have been involved in tourism and renting property with my family since childhood.
ISLAND ADVENTURE Explore the magnificent landscapes and beautiful sandy beaches, as well as the cultural and historical interests among which you will find the extraordinary cross-shaped Callanish Standing Stones which were erected 5,000 years ago and predate England’s famous Stonehenge monument. Also famous is the Dun Carloway Broch - a type of structure found only in Scotland. Outdoor island activities include surfing, climbing, kayaking, half marathons, fishing, cycling, walking or boat trips and whale watching. In the Summer months come enjoy the Highland games, Hebridean Celtic Festival and the Lewis Carnival. To view all events visit :visithebrides The Hebrides offers a wide range of wildlife from seals, otters, basking shark, dolphins, whale, birds and red deer. The moors, hills, lochs and rugged coast line makes this the perfect place from which to view these beautiful creatures. If you love walking, this is the place for you. Come relax & enjoy island life where the beaches and scenery are second to none. This is what the media says: The Scotsman newspaper names Outer Hebrides in global 'must-visit' list
