Ardville is a charming, traditional, stone croft cottage, enjoying stunning views from its elevated position across the Kyle of Tongue, with the magical Rabbit Island in the foreground. Situated in the quiet and totally unspoilt small crofting community of Melness, this lovely cottage has been in the same family for many generations. The current owners have upgraded and refurbished the cottage to provide modern facilities throughout, whilst retaining its welcoming cottage ambience. Ardville is accessed via its own gardens that look out across the sea; a wonderful spot to sit and drink amidst the amazing seascape. There is a delightful living room, with a wood burner and deep leather sofas. The kitchen is small, well equipped and the adjoining separate dining room ensures there is plenty of room for guests. There is a bright modern shower room on the ground floor. Upstairs the roof has been lifted to provide a surprisingly high ceiling for this era of cottage. There is a double bedroom, a twin room and a single bedroom. All are attractively presented with pretty soft furnishings. The pretty hamlet of Melness is still a crofting community, where sheep and cattle wander freely.
