Arnie the army truck has been lovingly converted into a unique tiny home experience in the heart of Somerset in the West of England. The truck sleeps 2 people in a comfy king-size bed complete with all furnishings. You'll find a well equipped kitchen, indoor & outdoor dining area & a private bathroom located a short walk from the truck in a stylishly converted horse box. It is easily accessed from the M5 & A303 & offers a great base to explore local attractions including the Quantock & Blackdown Hills (AONB), Somerset Levels & the south coast.

Hi I’m Em! I work in the travel industry as an Africa travel specialist. I grew up in south London, have lived & worked in East Africa & now live in Somerset. I enjoy photography, playing netball & rounders, doing DIY & upcycling furniture. I’m married to Jonny who is a fully qualified electrician which helped immensely with the conversion of the army truck! We’re easy going, positive people who like to live life against the grain.

Arnie is located in the village of Hatch Beauchamp, 5 miles outside the county town of Taunton in Somerset. Due to our semi-rural location, you really need your own car to get around. There is a small Cider & Farm Shop called Brays located 0.3 miles away which stocks a good range of local produce & plenty of interesting ciders! There’s also a great local pub up the road in the village called the Hatch Inn. The county town of Taunton is a 5 mile drive to the west where you’ll find a large selection of shops, cafes, restaurants & bars. The nearest big supermarket is Sainsburys located in Hankridge Retail Park, approx 10min drive towards Taunton. Head 8 miles east, and you’ll find the quaint historic town of Ilminster famous for its minster church & local shops catering for all needs. Due to our semi-rural location, you will need your own car to get around. There is free private parking on site.
