Aule is a bright, clean apartment on the first floor of a Victorian building. There is safe off-road parking to the front of the property (forecourt). The apartment, which is on the first floor, is accessed via a private external staircase that takes you up to a large private, sunny roof terrace, ideal for you to enjoy alfresco dining or a glass of wine after a day's sightseeing. One well-behaved dog is allowed at the property, however, we do have a rescue dog onsite, who will bark.
I have lived in Bembridge for the past 30 years and run a small publishing company from The Courtyard. I share my home with my partner Elaine and our rescue dog Newton. I am an author, lecturer, and musician. We love the laid-back atmosphere of Bembridge Village. The local pub, which is approx. 100 meters from the apartment, serves good food and has a large beer garden to make the most of the sunshine. My partner and I are on-site if you need anything however we will not intrude on your peace and quiet. Social distancing will be observed at all times and be assured that you will not have to share your inside or outside space with anyone outside your group.
Bembridge is unique in that is has beautiful beaches, glorious countryside, and a thriving village community. Within the village, we have award-winning butchers; a bakery; greengrocers; chemist; fishmongers; convenience store; take-away restaurants; jewellers; restaurants; hairdressers, and several public houses. There is only one bus service (no. 8) which takes you to the main Bus station in Ryde where connections can be made across the Island along with passenger transport to the mainland (Fastcat & Hovercraft services). In the other direction (towards Newport), the coastal towns of Sandown & Shanklin are easily accessible.
