Aysgarth Nook is a distictly avant-garde, newly renovated 5 bedroom property (the 5th bedroom can also be used as a snug as it has a sofa bed) with elegant designer furniture and state of the art fittings at every turn. This traditional Wensleydale cottage has been transformed into an uber luxurious modernist bolt hole without losing one ounce of it’s 300-year-old personality. Oozing with charm, the stunning cottage boasts many coveted features such as the original exposed beams in the lounge, a beautiful log burning stove, magnificent views over open dales and a fabulous hot tub in the private garden from which to enjoy those views. Traditional elements are juxtaposed perfectly with the sleek modern Kesseler kitchen, industrial exposed staircase, Nordic style ‘floating’ bedroom furniture from Hulsta to create the ‘Scandi-Yorkshire’ theme that runs throughout the property. Each of the bedrooms has a flat screen smart TV, state of the art Infrared heating panel, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers and toiletries by H2K of Harrogate. The lounge features a Bose Bluetooth sound system, gorgeously deep sofa, log burning stove and a piano as well as books and games for your entertainment. Additionally, pets are welcome; however, extra charges will apply.

Aysgarth Nook is situated in the Picture-Postcard Wensleydale village of Aysgarth, cosied up beside the fabulous Hamilton’s Tearooms (think home baked goodies and Yorkshire humour from the owners) and just a 2-minute walk away from the George and Dragon Pub, serving hearty home cooked meals and fine ales, this delightful holiday let really is blessed with its ideal location. The infamous Aysgarth Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the North, and where Kevin Costner once frolicked with Maid Marion on the film set for ‘Robin Hood Prince of Thieves’ are just a short walk away. The falls attract visitors all year round, indeed they truly demonstrate their magnificence during the wetter months. Artists, photographers and writers flock here to capture the imagery and the drama in their own senses. Ruskin, Turner and Wordsworth were three such visitors, and all enthused about the falls’ outstanding beauty. Aysgarth itself sits within the boundaries of the awe-inspiring Yorkshire Dales National Park and is close to the pretty market towns of Leyburn and Hawes with their plethora of quirky, independent shops, restaurants, cafes and traditional pubs.
