I like to stay in a real house where the owners love their surroundings and know about the history of the area. With Ann and Sean I feel as if I'm visiting family. The area is as it really is, not something packaged for tourists.

Amazing accommodation! Beautiful place, felt like home straight away. The smell of fresh crispy linen, cracking of the fireplace made us feel relaxed and welcome. Delicious breakfast too. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Nice, comfy, big room. Great host, with nice common areas offering great options for breakfast, cold or cooked (a pity I had to leave early). Very quiet area with lots of parking.

This is an exceptional place to stay. The owners are most welcoming, a starter hamper of essential provisions, as well as treats is very thoughtful and certainly above expectations. Such hospitality is above and beyond what is already a great...

Ballyhargan Farm House has been a family home for over 100 years with our children being the 5th generation to live here. We offer our guests the exclusive use of a large sunroom which offers a spectacular view of the Sperrin Mountains as they 'wrap round' us, a comfortable sitting room with open fire and comfortable bedroom with en suite bathrooms. We are pet friendly, dogs are most welcome, we have a large garden in front of the house, perfect for children or dogs to play on or just to run about on, or for the adults to have a game of croquet, a full size croquet set is available. We can also offer the use a full size tennis court, rackets and tennis balls supplied, and a partner if required and if the weather isn't suitable you can go up and have a game of either snooker or pool in the den. Tea/coffee and other refreshments will be available for you throughout the day in the sunroom and we would be happy to recommend any of the local restaurants dependig on your tastes. Also, should you wish to order food in from any of the carry-outs in the town we will happily supply the crockery and cutlery to have the meal in the sunroom
As of the time of writing I am 58, my hair is still purple on one side and I have a wide variety of interests. I was a member of a female motorcycle club called the Road Vixens and ride a Yamaha 900XJS motorcycle trike but life and friends having babies made a few changes. I also do a lot of craft work, cross stitch, knitting, card making etc. I enjoy reading, doing puzzles and trying not to kill my plants. In the Summer I usually grow tomatoes, with vey mixed results. I have been married 30 years and have 2 sons who are currently 25 and 27. I would be delighted to meet anyone who chose to visit our home and can assure them whatever level of privacy they would like. I am happy to be there just when needed and equally happy to sit down and have a chat with our guests.
As I have previously mentioned, we have a spectacular view of the Sperrin Mountains, the view from Benbradagh is brilliant and easily accessible. I can also offer a good golf course at the Roe Park Resort, walking in the Roe Valley country park, historic Dungiven Priory for those interested in local history and, if you feel like a little local culture there is a small bar which offers live music every Monday night. We are central for travelling to the historical city of Londonderry, 1.5 hours from Belfast and about 1 hour from the beautiful north coast of Ireland with the famous Giant's Causeway, Ballintoy harbour, Ballycastle, Portrush, Portstewart and Coleraine - to name but a few of the places worth a visit. Brochures of places of interest will be available for the guests use.
