Live like a local for a few days on the edge of the charming South Hams village of Thurlestone. With views out toward Burgh Island, you're steps away from the coastal path & the most beautiful beaches in the area. Walk, sail, cycle, surf, swim or sunbathe and immerse yourself in nature. On your return unwind in this cosy, relaxed space to eat in or take a stroll down to one of the nearby pubs for dinner. Finally enjoy a comfortable nights sleep in the well furnished master bedroom. The pad has a relaxed style with thoughtful touches. The light and airy master bedroom + living area is on the upper floor, above the garage making the most of the views. There is a modern compact kitchen/dining area with a table and benches and a bright shower room en suite leading from the bedroom. There is a brand new double futon sofa bed in the lounge area which can sleep two adults but please bare in mind that the living space is not huge and probably better suited to children. All self care and cleaning products provided for your use in the pad are non-toxic to you and the natural environment as well as using sustainable packaging. Wireless internet access is also available. Mobile reception in the house is best with O2 - others providers work but can be a little intermittent. The flat is self contained and adjoined to one end of our property which is a 1970s self build that we are gradually renovating (but not whilst guests are present). The shared driveway is gated and area immediately around the flat is fenced off so our dog Blue cant get through in case youre not a dog lover.
Hi Im Suzanne, My husband, two kids and I moved to Thurlestone between lock downs so that we could live our dream of being as close to the sea to swim, surf and sail as much as possible - and we've been doing just that ;-) I have tried to capture how beautiful this area is with lots of photos I’ve taken since living here and shared on the listing. Our property is a 1970's self build with sea views across to Bantham and Burgh Island and a lovely garden with old apple trees. We have extensive plans to renovate but taking our time whilst enjoying where we live. We also have a boisterous border collie called Blue. The property came with a self contained flat at one end of the house with private entrance and was on air bnb previously. So we have given it a little TLC and opened the doors again in summer 2021 due to huge demand and been going ever since so that others can come and enjoy this beautiful part of the world this summer. Looking forward to welcoming you the Bantham Beach Pad soon! Suzanne
Thurlestone is a beautiful South Hams village with thatched cottages, a village shop and inn. Bantham Beach Pad is situated on the edge of the village on the way to Bantham in a residential property. It is very much part of the lovely and friendly, local community who enjoy all this beautiful area has to offer. All the photos I’ve shared of places are all in walking distances anywhere between 5 mins and half an hour. There is a lovely Village Shop (only open half days Wed, Sat & Sun) opposite the Village Inn and you can also walk down to the Sloop Inn at Bantham across the fields!
