Bantham House is an exquisite light and airy property, decorated with elegance and style, bringing a modern twist to a truly traditional Georgian property. With WiFi Internet, games, books and dressing up, this property is perfect for families to come together. Upon entry to Bantham House you are welcomed with a bright spacious entrance area and cloakroom. The downstairs bathroom is complete with a utility room, including a butlers sink, washing machine and tumble dryer, a large bath with overhead shower and toilet. The side patio is accessed via this bathroom, with an outdoor shower. The social hub of the house is most appetizing with an open plan kitchen and dining room. This property is fully equipped with the top of the range appliances ranging from an American style fridge freezer, built-in dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, wine fridge, electric induction hob and microwave and a top of the range electric Aga. The lounge is found at the bow of the house. It comes fully fitted with wide comfortable sofas, occasional tables, writing desk, flat-screen TV with Sky Plus and Netflix, DVD-player, iPod dock and an open fireplace. The master bedroom boasts a king-size oak bed, a good-sized wardrobe, drawers, a dressing table, two relaxing tub chairs and the piece de resistance… the beautiful roll top bath, with a folding modesty screen. A separate en-suite with a hand basin completes this magnificent room. The second bedroom has interchangeable zip and link twin single or super king bed, bedside tables, chest of drawers, lounging chair and washbasin. This ship themed bunk room with two sets of single bunk beds (sleeps 4), is ideal for children. A second staircase leads from the first floor to the third bedroom. This peculiar shaped room is spacious and bright with natural light beaming through from across the South Hams valley. This room is complete with a double bed, drawer space and a shower en suite. There is one dedicated parking space for Bantham House.
Neighbourhood information
The are a variety of places to stop off and grab a coffee, cake or bite to eat on your walk. The well known Beachhouse @ South Milton offers breakfasts, coffees and cake and then for lunch and evenings the freshest of seafood with a great beach vibe atmosphere. Further on the village of Hope Cove offers a variety of pubs, bars and hotels, where you are spoilt for choice.
Bantham Beach hosts the Gastro Buses offering coffee, cakes, ice cream, burgers and pizza. Quite often in the summer you can enjoy an early evening sundowner at the Cider Bus accompanied with some subtle live music. In the village there is The Sloop Inn and Bantham Café boasting an outside deck overlooking the Estuary wildlife.
Further afield you have the local towns of Salcombe, the sailing mecca with its boutique shops, galleries and bistro dining, Kingsbridge a hub of a market town providing the best local produce to make a feast.
There is so much to explore and do in the South Hams area, from walking, surfing, paddleboarding, sailing, National Trust properties and museums and local history.
