Hello and welcome! I’m thrilled that you are looking at one of our properties to rent. I am a professional landlord with other properties elsewhere to let via our business, Superlet Properties. I love finding old and interesting buildings and restoring them to have another life. I've done this for 40 years and been a landlord for the past 30 years. I love sharing my properties with other people so they can enjoy them as much as my family and I do. Every property we own as a family has been lived in and tried out by us to ensure that everything works, everything is comfortable and well maintained. I have travelled widely with my family, and have lived abroad for long periods of time, and so I understand the requirement for a “better than home” experience for guests. We pride ourselves on a very high level of cleanliness and comfort in our properties. We use professional cleaners and a laundry service as part of the team, and we regularly inspect everything to ensure it meets our high standards.

Guests have exclusive access to the 4 bedroom farmhouse (depending on number of guests, bedrooms rented and sleeping arrangements) when renting Bartley Mill Farmhouse which has three double bedrooms, one twin room, one family bathroom, one ensuite bathroom to the main bedroom on the first floor. There's a family sitting room, large kitchen/dining room and a cloakroom with washing machine and tumble dryer on the ground floor. The sitting room has a wood burner with logs provided on request to make winter stays extra cosy. In the summer, there are great views from the back garden over the mill pond and our farm behind. BBQ can be available on request. When rented together with the annexe (The Lavendrye) the Farmhouse can sleep up to 12 + 2 small children (in a cot and a separate camp bed). See accommodation layout for the Lavendrye in our other listing. Alternatively, stay in the Farmhouse from minimum 2 people for 2 nights, and have the whole of the Farmhouse facilities plus a large bedroom with its own ensuite shower room to yourselves. The other bedrooms will not be available (but can be rented from a per person rate per night as an extra. Depending on your group numbers, there may be someone staying in the Lavendrye annexe next door, in which case the rear garden will not be for your own use exclusively, but shared with these other guests. However, you will still have all your own private facilities within the main farmhouse.

Neighborhood info

Bartley Mill Farmhouse is situated in a small hamlet, centred between three villages, and is about 8 minutes drive to the centre of Tunbridge Wells, yet in deep, quiet countryside. Because of our rural nature, the car is still the best way to get here. Alternatively, a bus service - 256- travels along the Bayham Abbey Road, the B2169, between Bells Yew Green, and Frant train station, towards Lamberhurst. Our closest train station 1.5 miles away is Frant, on a direct line from Charing Cross, Waterloo, London Bridge and Cannon Street in London. There are plenty of shops and pubs within a 3 mile radius, plus some great attractions such as golf, horse riding, tennis and day trips to the coast, heritage properties and gardens to add in to your stay. Tunbridge Wells is our closest large town and Wadhurst, Lamberhurst and Bells Yew Green are our closest villages with pubs and shops in each. We are in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and situated on the edge of a farm with great walks and views. Bring your walking boots!
