Bawdsey Hall
Escape from the world….. A ‘home away from home’.... Bawdsey Hall is located on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, on the peninsula between the River Deben and the North sea. A building steeped in history with records dating back to the 16th century. One of the best places to stay if you want time to yourself and escape from the world, a perfect Suffolk retreat on the coast. The emphasis is on privacy and relaxation. For many it is their ‘home away from home’, a unique B&B nestled in the beautiful countryside of Suffolk, offering a tranquil breakaway with charm and character. The Hall is situated in a small nature reserve providing opportunities for photographers, birders, entomologists, lepidopterists, wildlife enthusiasts and anyone wanting to relax in quiet surroundings. Whilst here why not take time to sit and enjoy the view from your window, why not bring your favourite drink to relax with as you watch the wildlife go by, if you are lucky you may just see one of our resident badgers from the comfort of your room!
A relaxed private breakfast is truly the best start to the day! Included in the room price is a generous breakfast which is made to order and delivered to your room, where you can enjoy your own intimate breakfast to start the day. Breakfast options include either a Continental Breakfast: baked pastries, yoghurt, cereal, mixed fruit, breads, fruit juice, tea and coffee. Or if you would rather something more substantial to set you up for the day ahead we also offer a yummy Full English Breakfast. We are small family run Bed and Breakfast, opening our home to a limited number of guests per night, all occupying rooms across a vast space, so your stay will be a peaceful retreat. We live on site and we are here to help you enjoy your time so please just ask if you need any help or advice, we wish your stay to be as interesting, relaxing and enjoyable as possible. Ahead of your arrival we will provide our contact details so if you do require any further information or tips on some of our favourite places to visit please feel free to contact us. We wish for you to enjoy your stay at Bawdsey Hall.
Additional features: Residents are also able to enjoy a walk within the grounds on our Nature Trail where you will find a number of benches to sit and relax (please note there is no access to area seen outside bedroom window, this is to protect wildlife and so you can enjoy watching this during your visit.) As well as a nature trail at Bawdsey Hall, there are endless walking opportunities in the area and maps are provided for your to use during your stay. As well as this there is detailed booklet which tells you about a huge range of things that can be done during your stay on the Suffolk Coast. We also offer Photography and Wildlife Experiences as an additional feature to the accommodation, one of these is our well known Nighttime Photography Experience, where you can photograph our nocturnal wildlife from a close proximity. Set in a purpose built sunken hide, which overlooks a reflection pond, enjoy being up close and personal with some of Britain's most treasured wildlife. For further information about these please don’t hesitate to contact us or visit our website for further details.
