Established in 2017, Bolthole Retreats markets and lets some of the finest luxury holiday properties throughout the Cotswolds, taking in the counties of Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, South Warwickshire and Worcestershire and parts of Wiltshire and Bath and northeast Somerset in the south. We have an ever-growing portfolio of beautiful homes, from cosy cottages that sleep two through to large properties that can accommodate up to 18 guests. Standing in beautiful solitude, surrounded by glorious rolling countryside on the Alscot Estate, Beecham Farmhouse offers an elegant, rural escape in the heart of William Shakespeare’s beloved England. The sweeping tree-lined driveway leads visitors to an enchanting red-brick farmhouse, once the family home of the current estate owner and now a fabulous holiday home for up to 12 guests, and up to two of your favourite four-legged friends. Step inside and you’ll find a stunningly designed home with an abundance of character and original features, along with all the creature comforts needed including a separate games room with a pool table. The outside is equally impressive with a huge swathe of south-facing gardens and a bubbling hot tub to enjoy(additional fee applies). This is a place for games of croquet, summer picnics and alfresco dining surrounded by the most wonderful views, then as night falls, slip into the hot tub for a little stargazing. The secluded location is idyllic, the surroundings quintessentially rural, yet you are only 3 miles from the vibrant town of Stratford-upon-Avon and myriad attractions.
Please note a 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. This is fully refundable up to 60 days of arrival when your remaining balance payment is due.
2 well-behaved dogs are welcome for an additional fee of 40 GBP per dog. This fee is not included in the rental price. Please advise us at the time of booking if you are bringing a dog/s and you will be sent a request for the additional fee.
Please make yourself aware of the hot tub rules and hours of use. An additional fee of 150 GBP applies and it must be requested at the time of booking.
Neighbourhood information
The beautiful Alscot Estate covers 4000 acres and has been in the same family since the mid-1700s. The estate encompasses the villages of Preston On Stour, Atherstone On Stour and Alderminster and through the owner’s vision and innovation, is passionate about supporting the local community. In the pretty village of Preston On Stour (2 miles) guests are encouraged to visit the village shop and café. Run by Ben and Hana this is where you can find local produce, freshly baked bread and superb coffee from the multi-award-winning local artisan coffee roasters, Monsoon Estates and vegetable boxes can be pre-ordered. There is also a yoga studio in the old school. Stratford-upon-Avon is 3 miles away and a thriving town with an excellent dining scene, several festivals, and the world-famous Royal Shakespeare Company theatre (RSC). The northern reaches of beautiful Cotswolds are just a few miles away with highlights such as Broadway, Chipping Campden, and Chipping Norton within a 30-minute drive.
