Bishop How is a wonderful Edwardian stone-built, semi-detached cottage situated next to a working livestock farm, on the edge of the village of Far Sawrey. The cottage sleeps five people in three bedrooms, consisting of a king-size double, a twin and a single, together with a bathroom and ground floor shower room. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with open fire. Utility and a second sitting room with open fire. Outside there's off road parking for two cars and a raised lawned garden with veranda and furniture. Bishop Howe is a great Lake District base, with plenty to see and do in the area, whatever your interest. From 31/1/26, the owner will be taking bookings directly. Note: There are a number of stone steps to the front door and a couple of steps to the rear door. Note: No stag/hen parties or note: bookings must fall between a Saturday and Saturday. Any short breaks must be either Saturday to Tuesday or Wednesday to Saturday note: Electric vehicle charging is not permitted at the contact the owner once your booking is made to confirm how the beds should be made up for your stay

The village of Far Sawrey has a Post Office/store and pub/restaurant. Bowness, with all its shops, restaurants and leisure facilities, is just a short distance across the lake by ferry. Also close by is 'Hill Top', once the home of Beatrix Potter, and Hawkshead with its picturesque 17th century cottages.
