Blelham Tarn provides high quality, rustic yet modern, self-catering accommodation for discerning guests. Located at the heart of The Lake District and overlooking the famous Langdale Valley within a secluded and tranquil woodland estate this alpine style lodge is comfortable, cosy, tastefully furnished and extravagantly equipped. With efficient insulation, double-glazing and all electric heating the cabin is warm and cosy. Crystal clear spring water, full of minerals and as soft as silk (drawn directly from our local borehole) makes drinking and washing a joy. You would pay a pound a bottle for it in the supermarket. Guests can avail of our private type 2 EV charger (Chargeable). There is no formal check-in procedure as guests are provided with a code number to access a key safe at the property meaning your check-in is as flexible as you want it to be after the cabin is released for your let. Our housekeeper will have everything prepared ready for your arrival. Guests can avail of shared use of a small swimming pool with Jacuzzi, sauna and other facilities within the central hall. Please note these facilities are not available between November 15th to March 1st and on occasional dates as decided by Neaum Crag Ltd - for this reason no part of your rental payment is attributed to the leisure facilities which are made available on a free-of-charge basis.
Hey, I’m Andy. Retired and living in Isle of Man with my wife Maggie, we're enjoying life both here and in the Lake District. Together we have owned and operated Blelham Tarn (log cabin) for 28 years and have helped hundreds of couples and families make long lasting memories of the National Park.
Please take special note that the Neaum Crag Estate is not a commercial site - each property is privately owned and individual, which makes for either a romantic getaway or a relaxing family holiday in amongst the mature trees which enjoys great access to wildlife. We are within a red squirrel conservation area and deer often come into view at dawn and dusk, especially if they are encouraged with a few raw parsnips or carrots. In the quiet of the late evening listen to owls as they begin their feeding ritual. Walkers can enjoy the fells right from the doorstep as we are situated at the head of the renowned Langdale Valley with all that it has to offer. So, if you're familiar with run-of-the-mill holiday parks then think again, this is a special place.
