Take some time out at Bridstow Guest House, an award winning luxurious B&B in Ross on Wye surrounded by Herefordshire countryside. Beautifully designed and recently renovated en-suite rooms, large double beds dressed with crisp cotton linen, a wood burner and freshly prepared breakfast cooked by a professional Chef mean you will feel totally relaxed after a stay at Bridstow Guest House. Breakfast includes choices of freshly prepared fruits, home made jams and marmalades, plum compote, locally sourced bacon and sausages and fresh eggs from the farm close by. Whether you’re visiting the area for business, a holiday, party or wedding, feel relaxed in Hill House – once a neglected Victorian building, transformed into a comfortable, modern guest house.
Celia and Jon found Hill House in Bridstow in 2012 and just loved the bright location near the atmospheric town of Ross on Wye. The house had been neglected over recent years and was a perfect place to renovate to create a comfortable, warm and relaxing place in which to establish a welcoming bed and breakfast business. Visitors to the house are always delighted by the spaciousness and brightness of the interior and the combination of Victorian character with modern-day standards of comfort. Celia has spent the last 15 years running her own corporate catering business and Jon has spent the whole of his career in the construction industry running his own design and build construction company for the last 15 years.
The countryside around Bridstow Guest House is peaceful and tranquil. There are many historic towns nearby such as Monmouth and Ledbury as well as many beautiful walks along the river Wye and surrounding countryside. The scenery around Symonds Yat is stunning and of course there are plenty of pubs and restaurants in the area. There is fishing, cycling and kayaking in many locations. There are walks in the Forest of Dean as well as activities such as Go Ape, Segway rides and Laser war games! If you want a great getaway in peace and quiet then Bridstow Guest House is perfect!
