Beautiful interior design, so imaginative and the level of attention to detail was excellent. Loved that Tony gave us so much information about the house and the work he & his husband had done to lovingly restore it. Loved how opulent the room was...

Stopped a night while passing through. Very nice 'boutique' style property. Owners clearly care about the decor and vibe. Emphasis was placed on guests being quiet and respectful and the accommodation was quiet despite other rooms being booked....

Tony & Chris
Tony & Chris (and their two mini-daschunds, and bassethound) invite you to come stay in their home and will give you a very warm welcome. We have a luxury room "The Grand Room" which has a superking bed, super-comfy mattress and amazing views up the valley. The Grand Room has a private luxury bathroom with original, renovated roll-top bath and double hand-painted sinks. Our other two rooms are doubles - lovely and spacious and can therefore be increased to triples with a comfy portable Z-bed if needed. The shower room is shared between the two double rooms and is decorated in neutral tones with daylight spots which make it a lovely bright room. There is additional lighting above the mirror. We have chosen a high specification for everything in the bathroom and shower room, including luxury basins/taps, and state of the art shower cubicles. Brohedyn is a large (and gorgeous!) Victorian villa situated in the village of Adpar, part of the small market-town of Newcastle Emlyn. We have 3 rooms potentially available. Our rooms are spacious, with high ceilings and large windows. We love the character and charm of our home and we’ve furnished the rooms with period furniture, whilst giving a slightly modern twist on the decoration, but still in keeping with the period of the house. You have a fridge, into which we will put bottled water, and the milk of your choosing. There are tea and coffee making facilities in each room along with a hairdryer and a smart TV which gives you access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, iPlayer, ITV Hub, All4 and My5 etc.
Tony and Chris has been together since 2013 and got married in 2017. After spending many years in Brighton they decided to start a new life in the beautiful, rural West Wales countryside, early in 2022. Being very sociable, they really enjoy welcoming guests and sharing their lovely home. They are both keen gardeners and at their previous home in Hove they opened for the National Garden Scheme, raising thousands for charities. They’re looking forward to getting their hands dirty in their new garden over the next few years! Both are very handy, and have been renovating their home since they moved in, and have big plans for the future. Chris, in particular, loves interior design and wants to take this forward. He is also an excellent hairdresser, and was one of Toni & Guy’s top colour specialists for over 20 years, but he now works from home….so…. If you fancy a top salon treatment for you and your hair, but without paying top salon prices, then why not treat yourself, whilst you’re there? If interested, please contact Tony & Chris for availability and rates. The biggest love of their life is their dogs - Rusty and Buddy, the twin miniature daschunds, and Hemingway (aka Hemmie) their adorable, but mischievous basset hound. They love interacting with their guests, so if you fancy a natter, they’ll be more than happy to oblige! But, if you’d rather keep yourselves to yourselves then that’s totally fine too. The most important things for Tony & Chris are that you enjoy your stay in their home and you feel comfortable. If you’d like recommendations on places to visit or eat, then they’ll happily give you some pointers :-)
Newcastle Emlyn is a delightful historic market town found nestled within the stunningly beautiful Teifi Valley. The high street has developed into an attractive shopping destination and offers an array of independent shops, art and crafts and antique centres. When a well-earned rest is needed there are award winning restaurants, cafes and pubs to satisfy your needs. There are cuisines to suit every taste and every time of day, and you can enjoy a wide variety of independent traders in the town. The River Teifi, the longest river which is wholly in Wales, flows 75 miles from its source in Tregaron in the Cambrian mountains to it’s estuary at Cardigan. Meandering through lush meadows and rolling hills, tripping over shallow riffles, crashing over falls and dropping into dark pools. The west Welsh coastline has numerous (and gorgeous) sandy beaches, from the expanses of Poppit Sands. To the ruggedness of Tresaith and Penbryn. Mwnt is particularly spectacular and is managed by the National Trust. The nearest beach to our home is Tresaith, 20 minutes away and along with Poppit and Mwnt, is a particular favourite of ours. Our nearest larger towns are Cardigan (20 mins) and Carmarthen (30 mins). We are also 25 mins away from the northern edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and 45 mins from the western edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, and 90 mins from the southern edge of the Snowdonia National Park. So… whether you’re coming for a single night an extended stay, our wee town is perfectly positioned to be used as a springboard for much of the very best that Wales has to offer!
