Brondderwen is a lovely stone detached cottage, resting in a slightly elevated position next to a stream in Blaenau Ffestiniog, in North Wales. Internally, the property has been renovated to provide a warm and cosy to explore all that the beautiful Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) has to offer, whilst also boasting period features such as exposed beams, stonework and lintel walls. A dedicated parking space and a log burner makes this comfortable cottage a perfect escape for couples looking for enjoy the local walks, Zipworld or the North Welsh coastline and being only a 20 minute walk from the town centre and the train station makes it a fantastic base. Brondderwen also boasts wonderful mountain views and an enclosed garden for those bringing dogs.
We love to host guests at our sweet cottage in Bronderrwen. Making people feel at home in an area we love makes us really happy! Eventually, we will be moving to Wales full time but for now, it is our escape from our busy lives in the Midlands where we raise our twin girls and look after too many animals include a Daschund called Duke who usually keeps us company on our trips. When we're not in Wales, we're exploring other parts of the UK in our campervan.
Blaenau Ffestiniog is a classic Welsh slate mining town. The ruggedness of the area gives way to a warm welcome from locals while providing a stunning setting to enjoy the various cafes and pubs. Adrenaline seekers will love Zipworld and a trip on the (dog friendly) heritage railway is well worth it for wonderful views and a relaxing day out. Explore the ruined Cwmorthin mining village followed by the Lakeside cafe for a well deserved lunch or pop by Porthmadog or the infamous Portmerion for a visit to the seaside.
