    The location was perfect - very convenient and very quiet. We loved the decor, the tea/ coffee etc were very good and we really enjoyed the “cakes and ale” that were there to welcome us! It really couldn’t have been improved.

    Home from home with everything you need for one or more nights stay. Smooth check in and good communication. Owners live in the other part of the divided house so are on hand for any issues. Very clean and beautifully decorated throughout.

This is a self-contained flat at the back of our house. There is a separate entrance, with a lounge / kitchenette, bathroom and bedroom with a king size bed. Outside there is a small seating area for sunny days. You will have exclusive use of your area and your outdoor space will be private for you also. Should you be staying for longer and need to do wash clothes, there is a laundry you can access. You can also leave your bikes here as it is a lockable space, and there is a sink for you to clean muddy boots here, if you wish. If you have any problems or you need anything just knock on our front door. If we’re not in, you can ring one of us on our mobile numbers that we’ll leave in the accommodation. We are happy for guests to park up after 11am if they want to go walking before check in. We are also happy to pick up from the train station if we’re available.
Having spent our first six months living in a building site we now love our newly renovated home in the Shropshire hills. Church Stretton is a great place to live. It has most of the shops we need and everywhere is so near that we rarely use the car now. With such beautiful scenery on our doorstep it feels like we’re still on holiday.
Enjoy quick access to the town, the hills and the train station from this perfectly located holiday accommodation. The Shropshire hills and the Long Mynd are just up the road, and the beautiful Rectory Wood is just a 10 minute walk away as well. It takes five minutes to walk into the town. Church Stretton has three pubs, a tapas bar, an Indian and a Thai restaurants, a fish and chip shop, a Chinese takeaway, two takeaways for pizzas and burgers and some lovely tea rooms. The local Coop is quite good and if you visit on a Thursday you can go to the town’s market.
