Fashionable Abersoch, 8 miles, boasts a pretty harbour and excellent water sports facilities. The Snowdonia National Park, with its dramatic mountain scenery, is close by, along with many castles, the Italianate village of Portmeirion and narrow gauge steam train rides. Beach 1½ miles.
