Vanora's Cottages has been in operation for 5 years now. Run by sisters Olivia and Clare, we aim to make your stay as stress free and enjoyable as possible. We have 3 cottages in total, all next to each other in a quiet corner of Alyth.

Property information

Welcome to Alyth and to Caliburn. Recently renovated, this cosy 2 bedroom cottage is tucked away in the centre of the pretty Perthshire town of Alyth and is perfectly situated for your self catering holiday. The cottage is close to the Cairngorms and many of the beautiful places in Central and Eastern Scotland. It is an ideal base for exploring the glens, mountains and lochs at any time of year.

Neighbourhood information

There are plenty of activities and sights to see in and around Alyth. There are several golf clubs a short drive from Alyth - Alyth Golf Club, Strathmore Golf Centre and Blairgowrie, Forfar and Kirriemuir all welcome visitors. The Soldheim Cup competition is set to arrive in Gleneagles in September. There are a range of local walks available straight from your door, making us an ideal base for a Scottish walking holiday. The Cateran Trail is on the doorstep and has been described as "the sort of Scotland that walkers dream of". You can also fish locally, watch wildlife, visit castles and distilleries and in the winter, ski at Glenshee. If you are into mountain biking, Alyth has it's own mountain bike track and bike hire and repair facilities.
