Castle Court is a cute self contained apartment set on the site of historic Sheriff Hutton Castle. Set in the rural village of Sheriff Hutton a quiet, peaceful village with a pub in walking distance. We will set the room as a king bed unles you message to request two twin beds. You will have your own entrance and key to the holiday let with Wi-Fi. With self check-in, we will give you total privacy but are next door should you need us. The accommodation is located just 25 minutes north of York by car, 5 miles from Castle Howard and 1 hour from the coast. Close to many attractions but also perfectly placed for walks straight from your door.
Business owner, live on premises but separate accommodation. We are in the adjoining property if you need us but will leave you to your privacy. If you would like to look around the castle ruins message us and we will show you around.
Sheriff Hutton is a small, pretty, village on the edge of the Howardian Hills, just big enough to have a pub and village shop/post office. As well as our 14th century castle there is a lovely 12th century church, usually open, to look around. Perfect for a peaceful getaway but also just 10 miles from York, Malton and the pretty market town of Helmsley if you'd like a bit more going on. Opening hours can be random and the local gets busy so please book in advance if you wish to eat in the local pub and let them know if you have a dog. There is limited public transport so it's best to have a car, parking is available on site and free. There is a rural bus service to Castle Howard and York the 180/181 castle line. Cycling is very popular in this area too
