This 150-year-old country house guest accommodation is in quiet gardens, 700 metres from Windermere town centre. It has free Wi-Fi, free parking and a lounge/bar. Cedar Manor is in the heart of the Lake District, a short walk from Windermere's shops, cafes and restaurants. It is 600 metres from Windermere Rail Station and a 10-minute walk from the lake. The hotel mixes original features with modern comforts. The en suite rooms have flat-screen TV's, hairdryers, iPod docking stations and well-stocked tea and coffee making facilities. Company information

Caroline and Jonathan have lived and run Cedar Manor since 2007. We both love living in the Lakes and enjoy hiking in the fells and a little bit of trail running. Caroline enjoys water colour painting in her spare time and you will find several of her paintings in the hotel. Jonathan is busy walking the dogs (which aren't allowed in the hotel but would love to meet you outside!) We look forward to your visit and hope you will love the Lakes as much as we do.

Property information

Cedar Manor is a very special boutique accommodation provider in Windermere, occupying a house built in 1854 for a local gentleman. All our rooms reflect the character and age of the building, with different sizes, shapes and now decorated individually by our award-winning Interior Designer. You will find each of our room types listed on this site, so choose carefully to ensure you get the "right room" for your requirements. (some have king beds, other have doubles, some with shower, some with bath, some with both)

Neighbourhood information

The Lake District became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in July 2017, we are lucky to be in the heart of the park, with Windermere - England's largest Lake just a few hundred meters away.
