The house is situated on a rural crossroads and has it's own car park opposite. Each of the three letting rooms include a spacious en-suite. The rooms are light and airy, and have views over the surrounding countryside. An upstairs sunroom provides a scenic place to relax. Full English breakfast is available from 6.00am, although this needs to be ordered the night before.
From a Devon farming background, I have many years experience breeding cattle & horses. Although, now no longer farming, I still retain an interest in agricultural matters & livestock. Living on the edge of Exmoor does give the added bonus to observe the wildlife, so I usually have my binoculars with me.
Chancery House is at Molland Cross, situated on the Simonsbath road, about 6 miles from South Molton. We are 2 miles from North Molton, and 2 miles from Brayford. We are accessible across the moor for Lynmouth & Lynton with its cliff railway and lovely little cinema, and of course "Valley of Rocks". Alternatively, the southern moor could take you to visit Withypool, Tarr Steps or Dulverton. A few miles towards Ilfracombe would take you to Exmoor zoo, or further on to Coombe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur park. Locally, South Molton has a twice weekly pannier market, cattle market, museum, and the Quince Honey Farm. There is quite a choice of local pubs for lunch or evening meals etc..
