The Lion, Tredington, hotel in Cherington

Located in Shipston-on-Stour, 8.1 miles from Walton Hall, The Lion, Tredington provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

Not only was The Lion a wonderful location to explore the Cotswolds (and close to Stratford-upon-Avon) it was cute, quaint and so cozy. Mark (the owner) was incredibly nice and we loved our stay at his property. I can't say enough good things! He also helped us carry our luggage up the stairs. Rooms are small, but well decorated and comfortable. We had dinner at the pub and it was delicious!

The White Hart Royal, Moreton-in-Marsh, Cotswolds, hotel in Cherington

In a 17th-century former traveler's inn, the White Hart is in Moreton-in-Marsh’s historic town center.

The property has some interesting history connected with the Royals. Won’t speak about it much but this is one of the oldest coaching inns in the country! The location is apt for a base if your tour is focused on Cotswolds. Don’t forget their breakfast. A great tip: Every Tuesday, they have an amazing Farmer’s market bang opposite this property. A great experience!

The Swan Inn, hotel in Cherington

Located in Moreton in Marsh, The Swan Inn features an on-site bar and restaurant, as well as a garden with a terrace for guests to relax.

The rooms are quite secure, which is a concern because I travel alone. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The bed, and the bedding was very comfortable. The room is well appointed with Wifi, TV, and plenty of space. Having a quiet restaurant and a pub downstairs is really handy for eating breakfast, and having a nightcap at the end of the day. I will stay again when I return the area.

Nothing too much trouble from the lovely couple running the b&b. A warm welcome on arrival and room comfortable as was the bed. Tasteful decor and a large modern bathroom with an easy to work power shower. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of fruit, yoghurt and cereal and home made bread.English breakfast beautifully cooked. A pleasantly quiet location.

Ermmm. this is slightly more difficult because the house we stayed in was in Ascott, not Cherington! I'm sure Cherington is lovely, and I'd love to meet the llamas. But, hey, it's only a bit further up the road. Next time maybe. Where we stayed in Ascott (near Whitchford) was wonderful.
