The Chapel has been beautifully restored with many original features. The open plan lounge, dining, kitchen room is 20 by 40 feet with vaulted ceiling, reclaimed pine flooring, log burner, Harris tweed settees, desk and dining table. Gas central heating means it is always warm. The stylish kitchen is well equipped including dishwasher, microwave, toaster and fridge. The useful separate laundry room has a sink, washing machine and freezer. Main bedroom boasts a Superkingsize zip and link bed so can be set up as twin beds if preferred, second bedroom has comfortable double bed. Spacious bathroom has luxurious roll top bath and walk in shower. Outside offers good sized decking and lawned area with seating and bbq. This unique, quirky property offers everything you need for a great holiday in a great location. There is a designated private parking space for one vehicle a two minutes walk from the Chapel which is free for guests. Alternatively there is free on road parking near the Chapel with no time restrictions.
We are a small, family run business and have taken great pride in renovating this Victorian tin chapel and in sharing it since 2014, over the years with guests from all over the world. We undertake changeovers ourselves ensuring great attention to detail and excellent communication with guests.
The Chapel is situated in a residential area opposite the Shropshire Union Canal where you can sit and watch the world go by or walk along the tow path. It is an easy, ten minute walk into the City Centre (0.5 mile) , Chester Racecourse is also half a mile from the Chapel so within walking distance, even in heels! Around the corner from the Chapel is a Café with a community vibe. On the other side of the canal and a two minutes’ walk away is Telford’s Warehouse, an independently run freehouse, bar and restaurant serving real ale and good food. There are food shops, takeaways, pubs and an ATM a 5 minutes’ walk from the Chapel or larger supermarkets 4 minutes’ drive away. The train station is 1.6 miles away and has a good taxi service.
