Cliftonville House is on the outskirts of Whitstable but it's not far to walk to the centre and benefits from a frequent bus service. Sue cooked a lovely breakfast each morning, making exactly what I wanted. Cereals, juice, toast and tea were also...

The host, the house, the parking, the storage in the room and the layout of the room. The high street is less than 10 minutes and the local shops just two minutes away. We did not have to ask for anything as things were all in any easy to get to...

We were made most welcome by Sue. Unfortunately, we stayed over 3 of the hottest days of the year (33C) and our room was in the afternoon sun so it was very warm! Two fans provided -thank you - but one could not be adjusted in elevation and the...

A wonderful stay with the friendliest host, Sue, who made us feel right at home. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable perfect for a great night’s sleep. Plus, the location is ideal, just a short walk from town. Highly recommend!

As soon as we arrived, Sue was friendly and welcoming, and even said we could bring takeaways back and eat them in the dining room/lounge if we wanted to. She even left a beer glass out for us the second day. Full English breakfast was excellent....

The location was perfect, far enough out from the bustle of the town but close enough to walk in. Sue was very friendly and made us very welcome.

It was a perfect stay. Sue was a lovely host and made us feel very welcome. The room was spacious and spotless and the shower was very good. The breakfast was hearty and beautifully cooked. We were having a couple of days break after a hectic...

We loved our stay here. Sue was the perfect host and the bedroom is gorgeous. Very comfy bed, hot shower, cosy armchairs... much more spacious than we'd anticipated. Breakfast was also excellent and Sue went out of her way by getting oat milk...

I've been running Cliftonville House as a B&B for 8 years now. It's something I really enjoy doing, I love meeting new people from all over the world and from all walks of life
I've lived in Cliftonville House for 40 years now and have managed to trace all previous occupants. The missing piece of the jigsaw was filled in for me in July 2016 when a very dapper gentleman knocked on my door one Saturday afternoon. I assumed he was after a room for the night but no. He introduced himself as Jim Foreman , he was born in this property in 1927 and grew up here till he left to serve his time in the 1950's. He had his 2 sons with him on a trip down memory lane and I was able to show him the original document his mother and father had signed when they purchased the property. He has kept in touch with me since and has dug out several old photos of his families time here. He will be coming down as an hounary guest along with his sons this year
Whitstable is a tight knit community but the demographs have changed since I first moved here in 2977. I feel they've changed for the better. It's a very popular destination for day trippers, weekenders and young couples who wish to escape their busy life style in London. There are numerous excellent eateries art galleries and eclectic gift shops. Whitstable has working Harbour, it's a busy town but not overcrowded. It's a town I've always felt safe in
