    “The location and views were fab. We stayed over to attend a dog show in Newtonwards. The Chippy next door was great and reasonably priced with large portions. Across the road is the beach and it was very pretty, the cars tend to speed past though.”

There is a multitude of things to keep you busy while stay at the Cloughey Beach House. Within Cloughey itself, you have; the tennis courts, Cloughey Beach, the playpark, Kirkistown Golf Club, Kirkistown Castle, Kirkistown Race Track. If you wish to venture further out, you can get the ferry from Portaferry, across the lough & visit Castle Ward, take a trip to Mount Stewart House and gardens, have a tour around the aquarium (Portaferry). For those whiskey and gin lovers, why not book a tour around the Echlinville distillery. If you enjoy a good walk, why not head to Scrabo Tower, Helens Tower or the lead mines in the Newtownards/Conlig area. The historical site of Kearny village is only a trip up the road, as is St. Cooleys Well. Local culinary delights include, Paul Arthur's Restaurant in Kircubbin, where you can enjoy cocktails & light bites in the beautiful beer garden, indulge in some local produce off the restaurant menu or get booked into their very sought after theme nights! Then pop down to J. Gilmores', a Kircubbin hot spot & competitive pool joint ! The Saltwater Brig is close by & if you head to Donaghdee there is a selection of good restaurants & bars to enjoy.
