The tastefully decorated annexe has its own private lounge, kitchen/diner along with a king size bed and large en-suite shower room. There is a log burner for cosy nights in and a contemporary kitchen with your own cooking facilities. You are welcome to chill out on the patio and enjoy the gardens and peace of the countryside. We are located on the edge of the National Trust site of Clumber Park, which is around 2 miles from Worksop Town. It is well placed for out door activities such as walking, cycling, riding, bird watching and golfing. This area of Nottinghamshire is the Gateway to the Dukeries, so there is plenty of history and places to visit. Enjoy a peaceful walk or cycle around the fabulous Clumber Park in Worksop. Clumber Park with over 3,800 acres of woodland, open heath and rolling farmland. There is also a beautiful serpentine lake and a picturesque avenue of lime trees that runs for 2 miles. Also of interest is the picture postcard Hardwick Village, the Gothic Clumber Chapel and the Walled Kitchen Garden. There are routes around the park for walkers but it is also excellent for cycling, particularly around the lake area.
We have a working livery yard behind the farm house, so horses are a big part of our working lives. We are out early morning and round and about during the day. My partner Nick and myself have been in hospitality for the best part of 30 years and like to share our lovely home and location with our guests. This private set of rooms allows you chance to step back and relax in the peaceful surrounds of the country side or to get out there and explore the many possibilities the area has to offer. There is private outdoor area with seating for our guests to enjoy the gardens and variety of birds and wildlife. We are on hand should you need any advice or guidance about anything, but will remain in the background at other times, so that you can enjoy your stay.
We are central to visit many places such as Sherwood Forest and the Major Oak and the nearby village of Edwinstowe. Creswell Crags has several limestone caves that were occupied during the last ice age, where a discovery uncovered the largest amount of witch marks in Britain. An hour’s drive away is Chatsworth House and gardens and the picturesque village of Bakewell, where the original Bakewell tart was made. There are many National Trust and other historic properties to visit nearby. Rother Valley is well known for watersports or Love shopping? then Meadowhall only half an hour away or Lincoln Town or choose Nottingham City Choose from a variety of restaurants, pubs, cafes to suit most pockets. So whether you are active or want the peaceful surrounds of the country side, North Nottinghamshire has so much to offer tourists and is great for motorway access to the M1, A1 and M18.
