Croxton House is a former farmhouse – with a working farmyard next door. Built in the Georgian period, from the front door to the rooms, it has all the fine features a house from this period should have. All rooms have high ceilings, ornate coving and the wonderful staircase with a beautiful banister and fabulous arch window, allowing glorious sunlight to flood in – it’s our favourite feature! For those who love the open air, a large lawn and beautiful gardens and paddocks awaits you, with a beautiful, large copper beach tree – which has many guests in awe! Our guests are welcome to wander round the garden, and take advantage of the tennis court sized lawn by bringing their own badminton or tennis equipment. Nestled in a village at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds, it’s rural, but has great transport links. We have plenty of parking - enough for four vans or cars. Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire is known as the UK’s ‘bread basket’ – we are surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside, with the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB only 10 minutes drive away. Lincolnshire’s fantastic beaches are a short drive away, as well as the Viking Way – a long distance trail, running between the Humber Bridge and Rutland. There’s lots of things to do for all the family in the local area. Examples include the Marrowbone & Cleaver, a dog friendly pub just down the road. For the little ones, there’s a few farm parks to choose from, as well as soft play centres. The coast is a short drive away, where you can enjoy resorts such as Cleethorpes, Sutton on Sea and Skegness. We have lots of history round here too! Just a 5 min drive is Thornton Abbey, an English Heritage site. There really is a lot to do on our doorstep! PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT CROXTON HOUSE IS AN ANNEXE OF THE OWNERS PROPERTY. THE GUEST ACCOMMODATION AT CROXTON HOUSE IS COMPLETELY SEPARATE AND PRIVATE WITH ITS OWN ENTRANCE AND PARKING. YOU WILL SEE AND HEAR THE OWNER AND THEIR FAMILY AT SOME POINTS DURING YOUR STAY.
Croxton House is a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom self catering property accommodating up to 8 people. The house has a modern, fully equipped kitchen, large lounge with digital TV and Netflix with large dining room. We can offer ample, off street parking. 3 of the bedrooms can be made as Double/Twin, with the fourth being a standard double - ideal for friends and family get togethers. The garden is unique, with large lawns surrounded by pretty borders, perfect to relax on a summers evening. Why not enjoy a glass of wine or beer seated on the provided garden furniture? Now with electric vehicle charging point - chargeable on a per vehicle, per use basis. Dog & family friendly -but please be advised the garden is not secure. Just 7 minutes from the Barnetby Interchange (where you can access the M180/A180 and A15 to the Humber Bridge) you can access all nearby attractions really easily.
