The Bothy is located in the beautiful grounds of the manor and has its own little terrace which is great for a morning coffee in the summer. The hosts are very nice and helpful. Be aware that the bed is a bit cozy under the sloping roof.

We really had a great time at Cuffern Manor. Julian and Jayne are very good hosts and their place is very pleasant. We also enjoyed a very good typical english breakfast, all fresh and homely cooked.

Company information

Owners ,Jayne and Julian Rutter, have been restoring Cuffern Manor since 2004 and offer a personal touch for guests at this unigue guest house which can cater for friends and family groups of up to 25 and has become a well supported venue for music, the arts and wellbeing courses.

Property information

Nearly 250 years old Cuffern Manor was the home of the Stokes family until after WW1. Their most famous member was Admiral Lort Stokes, who at 19 years of age sailed with Darwin on the Beagle's journey to South America and later was the ship's Captain. In a bad state when the present owners arrived it is now a comfortable and modern guest house with two self-catering barn conversions and a restored walled garden, orchards and lawns. Its biomass heating system and the owners attention to special dietary needs of guests has led to several awards.

Neighbourhood information

Pembrokeshire is Countryfile Magazine's Holiday Destination of the Year 2018. Our national park is the only coastal national park in the UK. We are in a hamlet just over one mile from the sea and the Pembrokeshire Coast path, in a very central part of North Pembrokeshire. The islands of Skomer and Ramsey are a great attraction for nature lovers. St Davids, the smallest city in the UK is a beautiful cathedral city with great restaurants and galleries and just 20 minutes by car. There is a good bus network, including the famous Pembrokeshire Shuttle Bus which enables you to walk the path one way and return by bus. For children we are just 20 minutes from Oakwood and Folly Farm. The ferry from Ireland to Fishguard is also 20 minutes away
