The Graythwaite Estate is family-run and spans some 5,000 acres of land, nestled in the beautiful English Lake District. It is home to the Sandys family who have lived at the Estate for over 500 years, since the first Graythwaite Hall was built.

Hidden down a tree-lined track and with extensive gardens leading down to the lake, this is a beautiful cottage from which to explore the Lake District. If guests also book the neighbouring Mill Cottage then larger groups can also be welcomed. ****PLEASE NOTE - SWIMMING POOL NOT LOCATED WITHIN PROPERTY******* It is a shared facility on the estate based at Home Farm Courtyard, a short drive from the property. Private sessions are booked prior to arrival. Entering from the of the building you have a beautiful hall which leads either into the spacious living area, or to the large kitchen and utility which also contains the dining area. Or you can dine on the terrace and watch the beautiful natural habitat.

Part of The Graythwaite Estate, guests will be able to enjoy a host of facilities at the Estate which includes a heated swimming pool (Private Bookable slots), the home farm shop which stocks locally sourced produce, and a host of walks and trails just around the corner with stunning tabletop views of the valleys and local waterways. Just a short drive to Grubbin’s Point and the Windermere shores, you will have easy access to adventure and activities from your countryside home-from-home. The property is just a 15 minute drive from the historic, sweet village of Hawkshead, home to many adored restaurants and pubs.
