Cwmgwyn farm Holiday Let is situated on a working stock farm in the beautiful countryside of Llandovery. The self-contained unit is attached to the main farm house but is totally separate and private with its own entrance. The apartment is located on the second floor, accessed via a stone staircase. This property is not suitable for wheelchair users. The astounding views of the meandering River Towy can be seen and appreciated from the living room / kitchen area inside and from the private garden on the outside. Guests have thier own private garden at Cwmgmyn and for an additional charge they can use our luxory hot-tub with wooden roof and bar area. Guests can sit in the tub and enjoy the peaceful, relaxing surroundings. There is also a private walk to the river which our guests are welcome to stroll along. Alongside the river is a picnic table and bench for guests to use. Cwmgwn hosts a mile of fishing. Subject to availability and season, rods can be rented for an additional cost which can be paid on arrival. Cwmgwyn is the perfect place for relaxation and is also a great base to explore the area.
Liz a retired NHS community practitioner. She and her husband, Stuart have been farming for over 50 years and remain doing so to this day. Cwmgywn Farm is their new venture.
Your stay could not be better placed than in the heart of Carmarthenshire with easy access to a range of attractions and sights in all directions. These include Llandovery, Llangadog, Llandeilo, Myddfai and attractions such as National Botanical Gardens of Wales, Aberglasney Gardens, Dinefwr Castle & Country Park and of course the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains. In addition we are just 35 miles from two major sporting venues, Parc Y Scarlets (Home to the Scarlets) and The Liberty Stadium (Home to the Ospreys and Swansea City FC)Our accommodation in Carmarthenshire, near Carmarthen and Llandovery, is ideally situated for visits to the gardens and castles of the Tywi valley a land full of myths and legends , Lady of the Lake at Llyn y Fan Fach and The Physicians of Myddfai , Twm Sion Cati, Merlin and Hywel Dda.
