LOCATION Located within the beautiful Aeron Valley, Yr Hen Llaethdy (The Old Dairy) is located between the villages of Ciliau Aeron and Dihewyd, at the end of a no through lane which provides a beautifully secluded location. The cottage which was converted from an old dairy in 2007, is located on a working smallholding adjacent to the main farmhouse. It has it’s own parking, a storage shed for bikes etc and has a private secure garden to the rear of the property which is mainly laid to gravel with a patio area and BBQ supplied. THE COTTAGE The cottage has undergone a complete program of renovation and provides a warm, comfortable and peaceful environment for your stay. It has a fully equipped kitchen, to include a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The lounge has two comfortable sofa’s, a dining table with 4 chairs and a freeview television. The bathroom has a separate shower and bath to cater for all preferences. Bed linen and towels are provided. The cottage has 2 bedrooms which have 4 steps up to to them, 1 with a standard double bed, and the other with 2 singles that can convert into a kingsize (on request at time of booking). No smoking is permitted in the cottage. THINGS TO NOTE We live onsite, so you may hear us going about our daily life. It is an active smallholding and home to our dogs, goats, sheep and chickens, so you will hear some animal noise and the odd rumble of a tractor. CHECK IN The cottage is self check-in with the key being held in a keysafe by the front door. Check-in is from 3pm to 7pm, with check-out being before 10am. Please put key back in key safe. We are available for any information or advice that you might need throughout your stay. DOGS We welcome up to 4 well behaved, dogs, but they are not to be left in the cottage on their own and are not allowed on any of the furniture or in the bedrooms. Due to our free ranging chickens and other livestock, dogs must remain on leads at all times when not in the cottage or garden.
I live here with my husband and daughter. We all love living so close to the coast and try to get to the beach as often as we can. We are also keen walkers so enjoy getting out and about, exploring new routes.
THINGS TO DO There are many wonderful places to visit and things to do within the area and far too many to list. Aberaeron town is just a short drive and has many places to eat and explore. Lampeter is also close by and has supermarkets and also places to eat and explore. There are plenty of footpaths and bridleways to discover, some of which can be accessed directly from the cottage. Ceredigion’s heritage coastal path is also within easy access. There are many stunning beaches and coves to explore within Cardigan bay, with watersports and boat trips available at some. The Cambrian mountains are also close by and offer some spectacular scenery and plenty of hiking. For the stargazers amongst you, the skies here are incredibly dark and offer the most amazing views of the stars.
