About this property

Welcome to Dolphins Hotel, a family-run B&B in the heart of Bournemouth — just a 10-minute stroll from the sandy beach and lively pier. We’re Lena and Miles Dolphin — yes, our surname is Dolphin, so we figured naming the hotel after ourselves was only fair! We’ve been happily married for 25 years (somehow we’re still together — don’t ask us how!), and we’ve been running this cosy little spot since 2004. After 20 years in business, we definitely know what we’re doing — and many of our guests have become lifelong friends along the way. Location: Perfectly placed in central Bournemouth, within easy walking distance of the beach, pier, and Bournemouth International Centre. Accommodation: Comfortable, well-equipped rooms with free Wi-Fi (wired and wireless), TV, tea and coffee making facilities, and soft carpeted floors — a cosy home away from home. Parking: We offer limited free private parking on-site — and when we say “limited,” we mean if you arrive early, you’ll be fine. If you’re the last one in… well, there’s a public car park nearby (and yes, you’ll have to pay — sorry!). Eco-Friendly: We also have charging points for electric cars for guests who drive sustainably. Breakfast: Enjoy a hearty, freshly cooked Full English breakfast served every morning in our warm dining area. Extras: A small, peaceful garden with BBQ facilities — perfect for relaxing on sunny days. Pet Friendly: Pets are welcome, so feel free to bring your furry friends along. Ideal For: Couples especially love the location, giving it a 9.2 rating for two-person getaways.

We’re Miles and Lena — married for 25 years (and somehow still talking to each other). We’ve been running Dolphins Hotel for the last 20 of those years, gradually improving it bit by bit every winter… mostly because that’s the only time we can sneak in a “holiday” — and even then, it usually involves a paintbrush or a hammer! We believe in honesty, genuine hospitality, and a personal touch. We’re here for you 24/7 — whether you need a hand with something, a recommendation, or just a friendly chat. After two decades of welcoming guests — many of whom have become friends (and some who’ve even brought us biscuits) — we’ve learned that a warm smile, a comfy room, and a good sense of humor can make any stay feel like home. And if you need help with anything during your visit, just ask — we’re always happy to lend a hand… or a corkscrew… or point you in the direction of the beach.

Neighbourhood information

The hotel is close to the center of Bournemouth, with easy access to the shopping streets as well as the beach. Slightly away from the noise, with almost no passing traffic by car or on foot this is a quiet area in the middle of town.
