Basil is a gentleman. Showed us round the house pointing out the facilities. Great view over the lake with lovely gardens, front and back. Situated on a very quiet country road, only 10 minutes from Enniskillen. Will definitely be back.

Dry Harbour is a private home, set in its own private grounds, which is only available to rent in the summer time (Week before Easter-Early Oct.) It is located close to the lake and has a private pathway to the lake, & to a rowing boat and jetty(5 minutes walk) at no extra cost. Three of the four bedrooms have views overlooking the lake, jetty and Cuilcagh Mountain. The fourth bedroom has views over the meadows. The residence is part of a sustainable, working organic farm where breeding cattle are kept. In May-June the flowers in the adjoining meadow are to be seen at their best. There is a large Sunroom (30 ft long) facing west, overlooking the lake, and is guaranteed to please and provide views of the setting sun. There is an outside patio area with barbeque. Along the lakeside there is a wooded area and the Old Harbour, where the boat is normally taken out and put into. The House is near to quiet country roads, which are ideal for those wishing to have a walk or a run. A couple of bikes are available. Booking is for minimum of 7 Days usually from Saturday to Saturday, can pre-check by e-mail. The Mariner's room, a general store is in the basement (has table & chairs). The house has 2 flat screen TVs (one Smart). There are two gardens at the house, the lower garden overlooking the lake and the upper garden which is kept as a native wild flower garden. Electricity and heating oil are metered and are charged for separately, at cost price on departure, with cash. Access to the library is complimentary. There are two toilets, one of which includes a bath/shower.
I started welcoming guests some years ago, when helping my late mother run another guesthouse. I enjoy the experience of meeting people and having a conversation with them. I am a graduate of Queens University Belfast and have represented the District of Enniskillen twice on Fermanagh District Council. I am enthusiastic about protecting the environment and hence I derive great reward from working with my Organic cattle. I am willing to meet visitors at Enniskillen Bus Station if required. I am a frequent traveller with booking dot com.
The property is only four miles from Enniskillen, one mile from Tamlaght, on the main Enniskillen-Belfast road(A4), where there is a Enniskillen/Belfast bus stop. In the day time buses run just about every hour. The closeness to Enniskillen makes the property very accessible. However it is recommended that it is best to have a car to maximize travel opportunities. All the major supermarkets are located on the nearest side of Town only ten minutes away. Enniskillen the County town and largest Town in Fermanagh is well known for its beauty as one of the only island towns in Ireland. There are a good array of shops to choose from. The castle museum is a good place to start for those wishing to investigate history, especially regimental. The wider attractions in Fermanagh include the Marble Arch caves which are about 30 minutes away, The Cuilcagh Mountain board walk(stairway to Heaven) which leads to the summit of the mountain (beside the caves) is a good place for hikers. These can be reached by road without having to go through any town. The rugged beauty of West Fermanagh is stunning. The nearby roads are very quiet and good for cycling. The Killyhevlin Hotel & restaurant is five minutes away.
