A delightful wooden studio in a five-star location on the water’s edge enjoying spectacular open views over Loch Etive, ideal for those seeking the tranquillity of a lochside retreat. South facing to enjoy the best of the sun every day, this cosy studio sits on the shoreside and offers a waterside escape for couples who want to enjoy the stunning scenery and the peace of outdoors. Enjoy uninterrupted views of Loch Etive whilst soaking in the bubbles of your private hot tub!
We have lived in this area for many years and decided that the magnificent ambience should be shared with visitors. We have a peaceful and idyllic situation close to the shores of Loch Etive, these luxurious lodges and lochside studio with relaxing hot tubs offer the perfect retreat for water and wildlife enthusiasts, use of a private jetty and slipway ideal for trailable boats, paddleboards and kayaks, making an excellent holiday base for exploring Argyll.
Local Attractions/Activities A private jetty opening onto Loch Etive is available for your use – ideal to fish from and to keep a kayak or small boat close-by to enjoy the best of the waterside location. The lodges and chalet are on a beautiful narrow single-track road which leads along the north shore of Loch Etive and is ideal for cycling and walking along the shoreline. There are beautiful gardens to visit along this road at Ardchattan Priory. Dundonald Landing is a leisurely and scenic hour’s walk to the villages of Benderloch, Connel and North Connel where you will find licensed general stores, cafes, and pubs to rest and relax in. Connel is also famous for the tidal race underneath the Connel Bridge, the Falls of Lora, and amazing natural attraction. You are also within easy reach of the Oban to Fort William cycle path – a wonderful scenic route almost entirely traffic free using parts of the old railway line, forest paths and along the roadside – a fantastic opportunity for safe cycling. The village of Benderloch is easily accessible across the “Moss Road”, forming part of the Lynn of Lorn National Scenic Area and is home of the lovely sandy Tralee beach with cafes & shops and Ben Lora woodland walks. A few miles away, Oban, a bustling west coast harbour townwith its reputation as the Seafood Capital of Scotland, has lots going on for the visitor at any time of the year. There are excellent restaurants, cafes and pubs serving a variety of locally caught seafood. Central for touring Argyll and known as the “Gateway to the Isles”. Ideally situated for visiting many of Argyll attractions within 1 hour’s drive. Recommended are trips to Fort William to see Ben Nevis, or Inveraray, with its castle and jail. Perhaps enjoy the scenery of Glencoe, or take a ferry from Oban to the Inner Hebrides.
