Welcome to our charming ground floor apartment - The Priory. I'm a 'hands on' owner and take great care in providing clean, upmarket accommodation for those travelling for business or leisure. Bought up in County Durham, I'm proud to offer my beautiful property so others can experience the many historical and social pleasures Durham and the surrounding areas has to offer. This open-plan gem boasts two generously sized bedrooms, both conveniently situated on the ground floor for your comfort. Our newly fitted bathroom adds a touch of luxury to your stay. The kitchen is equipped with modern conveniences, including a built-in oven, hob and fridge freezer. You'll also find a microwave, kettle, and toaster, along with all the essentials you need. Enjoy a cosy night's sleep in our two comfortable beds, and rest assured you won't get cold with the automatic heating system that ensures a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout your stay. In the living room, relax on our new leather sofa and recliner chair while watching your favourite shows on the TV or indulging in some Xbox gaming or movie nights with our provided Xbox and DVD collection. There is also multiple board games and quizzes provided if that is more your thing! While our property is all on one level, making it accessible for most, please note that it may not be suitable for those fully reliant on wheelchairs, as we do not have a hoist and the shower is not adapted. We value your comfort and convenience, so please don't hesitate to contact our staff to discuss any specific needs before booking your stay. Finally, there is a car parking area situated directly outside the guesthouse, as seen on the pictures, which has 2 allocated spaces for yourself directly outside the guesthouse. Rainton Gate is a small village situated in-between Durham City and Houghton-le -Spring. The area originally belonged to The Prior who followed the body of St. Cuthbert from Lindisfarne to Durham. On the doorstep there is a cafe, pharmacy, hairdressers and beauty salon as well as a bus stop. Haswells Homer Hill Farm Shop offers freshly prepared meats and various groceries including a large cafe is a 2 minute drive across the other side of the dual carriageway. A costcutter convenience store and fuel station is located in the village, near The Italian Farmhouse a local pub and eatery.
