We are in the heart of Cheselbourne and offer 2 rooms, a king size room and a twin room with a large bathroom with bath & separate shower. You also have exclusive use of the lounge/diner in the guest suite along with a kitchen comprising of a washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. Although we do not offer a cooked breakfast we supply you with the breakfast basics, especially if you have not had chance to visit the shops before you check in. We supply you with loaf of bread, butter, jam, cereal variety packs, bottled water, tea, coffee, sugar & milk and if you are with us for a few days will top these up for you if you would like us to. The guest suite is on the ground floor within the main property, but please note there are a few outside steps up to the front door and inside there are 4 steps up to the main bedroom and bathroom. The guest suite is entered through the main front door which you will have exclusive use and a front door key will be given to you on arrival. The guest suite/apartment is separated from the main house by a locked door internal door.
We would like to welcome all our guests to Domus Alba and to let them know we are on hand if they need any information, planning their day or where to eat, or if they prefer to be totally private we will respect their privacy. We make sure that we have plenty of local information in our booklet and have a variety of leaflets for attractions in the area. The lounge is very relaxing and cool in the summer months where you can chill out on the comfy corner sofa and watch sky TV or we have a selection of books to read or games to play.
Cheselbourne is a small village nestled in the hills just north of Dorchester and is in a good position for to travel to the nearby beaches or attractions such as Monkey world, the Tank Museum, Cerne Abbas, Milton Abbas , Sealife centre and many more! In the village we have a public house the Rivers Arms which is open 11am to 11pm and serves food all day. This is in walking distance of Domus Alba, approximately 8 mins.
